Our School

Nautical Academics is a family owned and operated school.  Founder Captain Bill Ortmann has put thousands of captain's on the water. He was Co-Founder in one of the original Captain's schools many years ago. He continues to share his knowledge in Nautical Academics with his son-in-law Greg Tumas and grandson JP Tumas.

We cater to our students, our classes are user friendly, we limit our class sizes to give maximum one on one attention with are fully certified and experienced instructors who are experienced in everything, boat handling, sailing, navigation, fishing, and many, many years of teaching to make sure you get your license. We stay with you from hello until license in hand and even after.

Unlike other schools there are no hidden fees and our reputation is built from your satisfaction.
